Clear and Concise Information & Step-by-Step Instructions

Also, I have been struggling to find solutions that don't rely on having BKMs. This is important to me as I have two genetic networks with no BKM, and a "mystery" grandfather I am hoping to find. I know how these matches are related to each other and have created trees to support it. This reference guide provided solutions for students in my situation through WATO/Bottoms Up, and they will be the tools I focus on next. Thanks. Jan Fiore

Variables - What to do if your family line does not fit the ideal profile?

This sheet is an extremely helpful reference to explain Diahan's process in abbreviated terms. I found the variables within the text particularly helpful to my genealogy problem. My Canadian Eastern European immigrant great-grandfather was an only child with no siblings lines to compare DNA, but he had eleven children. This guide helped me overcome that hurdle with a simple suggestion to "...move to a more recent generation and find a cousin on that line." I am now in the process of splitting the network using my Canadian Eastern European immigrant great-grandmother and her only sister's lines to tease out my paternal line matches.
