sharing DNA results from ancestryDNA
You have yourself some amazing DNA test results so you don't want to keep them to yourself. You can share your AncestryDNA results with anyone who has an AncestryDNA account. This is very helpful when you are working with family members who have multiple AncestryDNA accounts. The process is fairly straightforward and should only take you about 10 minutes.
Find your settings
The first step is to login to your AncestryDNA account, navigate to the DNA homepage, and make sure you are in the account for the person whose results you want to share. Then click on the settings button located on the left side of the page.
There are several different options here that you will want to explore later, but don't get distracted! Scroll about 3/4 of the way down the page and on the left side you will see the "Invite others to access DNA results" button. Click on it!!
guest or editor?
You can review the list of things a guest or an editor can do with your results and make your decision about how much control you want to give the person you are sharing with. If you want your family member to be able to assign a family tree to your account, then you need to make them an editor, not a guest. Then click on "Send Invitation" and sit back and let someone else do the work for you!
